Here is a recent stage presentation of "Sorry, Wrong Number" starring 16 year old Sha'Monique "Shae" Wynter in the role of Mrs. Stevenson. The name of the theatre group and the location were not given, but given the age of the lead actress, we'll assume that this is a high school production.
With a primarily African-American cast, this production is one of several examples we've seen which demonstrate that language, race, and gender can easily be reworked to accommodate modern interpretations of this classic radio play.
Here is part two. I think the audience gets a little too giggly but Sha"Monique doesn't appear to miss a beat despite the distraction.

Interesting that you are posting "Sorry, Wrong Number" stuff. I recently found one of those old Alfred Hitchcok mystery anthologies in a book store and there's a short story, well at 85 pages, I guess it's a novella, version of "Sorry". Lucille Fletcher and Allan Ullman are listed as co-writers. Ever read this? I'll let you know what i think when I'm through...

Actually, I haven't read the novella. I wonder if she really co-wrote that, or if they just had Ullman write it up.

Another interesting take on Sorry...
Performance artist Corrie Van Ausdal is currently staging Lucille Fletcher's legendary radio play "Sorry, Wrong Number" as a one-woman show in her Fishtank Theatre, a converted storefront space in Kansas City. Performances are planned for Fri, July 3 (8:30 and 10 p.m.), Mon, July 6 (8:30 p.m.), and Sat, July 11 (8:30 p.m.).
