In "Double Identity," a man steals a fortune from his employer and then does a particularly bad job of getting away.
As the episode opens, George Lockman and his co-worker are going through the routine of distributing pay envelopes from the cashier's window. He knows every move of their routine, but this time, he makes one change. When his co-worker is distracted, Lockman leaves the company safe open. When his coworker leaves, Lockman steals $50,000 in cash.
Lockman then takes the bus to the airport. His getaway to Paris seems to go smoothly at first, but then one thing after another keeps Lockman from getting...anywhere.

It was good, but Lockman running into his boss was a little weak. Vic Perrin was perfect for the role. All in all, it reminded me of 'The Man Who Couldn't Lose' (1947-12-12)

I liked the idea of him running into his boss. I know for a fact that if I am sick from work and wandering around central London hoping not to run into a boss then I will definitely run into one. Besides, without that meeting there is no episode!
I also really liked the way he had to go all the way back to LA from Chicago - a completely useless round trip except that he had killed his boss and lost $50,000! Darkly funny!
