In "Two Birds with One Stone," Dana Andrews stars as a writer who comes up with an elaborate, but not foolproof, way to get rid of his wife.
As the episode opens, Eleanor, and her dog, Tracey, are recording a birthday message for her husband, Walter.
Walter then enters the room, and complains about the noise they are making. He is in a foul mood because he is having trouble with the play he is writing. Eleanor offers to help, and so, he asks her to come up with dialogue for a character, who is about to commit suicide. Eleanor agrees and records a scene.
Afterward, Eleanor and Walter go out for a walk, but only one of them comes back...
"Two Birds with One Stone" was written by Mel Dinelli and produced/directed by William Spier. Dana Andrews starred. Also appearing were Cathy Lewis, Joseph Kearns, and Wally Maher. This episode aired on May 17, 1945.

Considering how annoying the dog sounds, and how... unreasonable the wife is regarding said dog and health standards, I can't say I half blame the guy. ;)

Hi Tim,
Yes, Tracey is one the most annoying pets in all of Suspensedom, but the worst of them has to be Suzy from "The Lucky Lady." http://www.escape-suspense.com/2007/11/suspense---the-.html#tp
