In "Heavens to Betsy," a family fights to protect their claim on a U.F.O that lands in their backyard.
As the episode opens, Betsy Doyle is making dinner, and her son, Dickie is listening to the radio. They are waiting for Henry Doyle to come home from work. Outside, an electrical storm is brewing.
Suddenly, a bolt of lightening shakes the house!
A short time later, their neighbor calls and asks about that funny glow in their backyard. Is it a fire? When Betsy and Dickie pull up the shade, they see lights....
Then, Henry comes home. He and Betsy go out in the backyard and find...a flying saucer!
"Heavens to Betsy" was written, produced, and directed by Antony Ellis. Hy Averback and Truda Marsden starred. Also appearing were John Dehner, Vic Perrin, Byron Kane, Dick Beals, Barbara Eiler, Barney Phillips, and Howard McNear. This episode aired on October 11, 1955.
