In "Run Faster," an air traffic controller must decide between the safety of his wife and the safety of an endangered airplane.
As the episode opens, Dave explains that during the war, he looked forward to coming home to a quiet life with his wife, Kris. Now, he has everything he wanted, but his life has no excitement...and that makes him crabby.
Dave and Kris live in a small house near a remote emergency airfield where he works night shifts at the tower. Kris wants to move to the city, but Dave wants to keep working in aviation, even if that means working at the forlorn airfield.
On this particular night, they again are arguing about their situation when Dave leaves in a huff to do the midnight shift at the tower. What he doesn't realize is that before his shift is over, he will learn a lesson about what he really wants.

On a more lighthearted note, here is recording of Jimmy Blaine singing the Pinocchio song "Give a Little Whistle."
Episode completely caught me by surprise with its quality as it came so late in the run. Great tension builder and well-written. Definitely recommended. Q
