In "Dynamite Run," Mason Adams stars as a high explosives trucker who is forced by circumstances to make one last dangerous run.
As the episode opens, a forest fire in the mountains requires a delivery of dynamite. Ben agrees to take the job, although a month earlier, he promised his wife that he would stop hauling high explosives. He has to break that promise now because their daughter has fallen ill, and if he completes the run, they will have enough money to hire a nurse.
Ben signs the insurance papers that guarantee $100,000 in case of his accidental death, and he can't help but notice what a financial benefit it would be to his wife and daughter if he crashed the truck on purpose.
As Ben drives away, he promises his boss that he will be back the day after next--without driving over thirty miles per hour. He intends to keep that promise, but the escaped bank robber he meets on the road has other ideas...
