In "Hollywood Hostages," two members of a film crew don't realize they are in danger because they think their boss is playing a joke on them.
As the episode opens, Tommy and Grace are driving a lonely road into the California desert. Their boss, Murphy, has sent them out to a ghost town in the middle of nowhere to scout the location for an upcoming film project. This is her first picture with Murphy, and Tommy explains that, although their boss is a talented director, Murphy's practical jokes aren't always funny.
Meanwhile, two bank robbers, Tex and Fred, have already taken shelter in the abandoned town. Fred is injured, so Tex decides to leave him to die. But, before he can, Tex runs into Tommy and Grace, steals Tommy's car and leaves.
Tommy is certain that Murphy is playing one of his practical jokes, and he refuses to believe otherwise, no matter what happens...
"Hollywood Hostages' was written by Jerry D. Lewis and produced/directed by Antony Ellis. Eve McVeagh and Tom Brown starred. Also appearing were Don Diamond, Frank Gerstle, and John Larch. This episode aired on February 21, 1956.

Predictable outcome but I liked anyway. It's fun to put yourself in their situation.
