In "Brother John," a man awakens from a coma and begins a new life...or so he thinks.
When John McGee came to the hospital to visit his younger brother, Charlie, the doctor explained that he was awake but unable to communicate. He also told John that his brother could spontaneously recover at any moment. It was the doctor's hope that a visit from his older brother would help Charlie's recovery.
After the doctor left the room, John told Charlie that if he did recover, he should come live with him. John bragged about his cushy set-up, the people he worked for, and the money he had set aside for Charlie. Why, once he got well, he was set for life!
Not long afterward, Charlie did get well, and his brother John was the first person he wanted to talk to...
"Brother John" was written by Elspeth Eric, and produced/directed by Bruno Zirato, Jr. William Redfield starred. Also appearing were Connie Lempke, Paul McGrath, Sam Gray, Bill Smith, and Guy Repp. This episode aired on April 15, 1962.
