In "Out the Window," a corrupt police commissioner must decide if he is to continue in his ways or fall to his death.
The episode opens in an office on the twenty-first floor of a downtown building. Commissioner Walcheck stands in front of an open window. He is being faced down by two men. He tells them that he won't give them what they want. He is tired of the graft and corruption!
They warn Commissioner Walcheck to go along with what the party wants--or he will go out the window. On top of that, they will ruin his reputation after his death.
Commissioner Walcheck is undaunted and stands firm in his defiance.
Will the two men follow through on their threat? If so, it is a long way down.
"Out the Window" was written by William N. Robson and produced directed by Paul Roberts. Santos Ortega, Jane Hossack, and Ginger Jones were featured. Also appearing were Roger DeKoven, George Matthews, Sam Raskyn, and Marilyn Cole. This episode aired on May 22, 1960.

Easily one of the worst episodes of Suspense I've heard (and I've heard all ten pages). When you've listened to so many great ones, the poor ones jump out at you. I just wish this one had jumped out at me, from a window, perhaps, before I wasted twenty-five minutes.

Hi Jason,
The first time I heard this episode I didn't like it either. When I came back to it a few years later, it didn't seem so bad--but perhaps I was wrong about that! Thanks for your comment.-- Best, Christine
