In "Dagger of the MInd," a wife is so convinced that her husband is in love with another woman that she stops listening to reason.
As the episode opens, Vicky recounts to her doctor an upsetting dream in which she is confused by numerous different signs on a dark road. When she touches one of the signs, a deceptive two-faced creature comes alive and calls her name...
The doctor tells her to get a hobby. Her problem is merely that she is too idle and her imagination is working overtime!
Vicky knows better. Why should she listen to the doctor when she knows that the two-faced thing in her dream is symbolic of her husband, Walter. She has known for a long time what he is really up to....and with whom.
Walter tells her that their marriage is fine...but Vicky knows better! She also knows what she must do about the other woman...

Suspense was sponsored by Marlboro Cigarettes. Listening to Julie London's sultry singing of the Marlboro jingle brought to mind the fact that she was married to Jack Webb. On his old radio show, Pat Novak, Webb described a female character as coming into the room like a warm puff of smoke. Being married to Julie London, he was probably an authority of "warm puffs of smoke."
